I did't find anything option about that. I have the same question, I found nothing to force FDM to download in a different folder than the original one. Andrzej P. Now left-click on a video link and a pop-up will show. You will see Save to, and click the 3 dots to the right of it. Choose your folder Click Download Now you can go back to Options and check "Start Downloading without confirmation" to have one click downloading straight to your new default folder. Good luck! Post by juzzwright » Wed Oct 16, pm This has been debated for quite some time now. You have made your position clear. This option to allow the user to determine a "default" FDM unrelated to the system download folder download folder of "their" choosing will not be considered.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I can't ever remember reading an explanation why? I don't want my FDM default folder to be the same as my default system folder. There are plenty programs that allow the user to make this choice, not to mention earlier versions of FDM.
Is it because it simply can't be done? If so, fine. End of conversation. But if it can be done not, what would be the harm. I think you could end this discussion period with a simple explanation, one way or the other, even if the answer is just "we don't want to do it".
